WE ARE ONE 𖦹
” We are all connected. ” Mike Clark stated with a genuine tone and light hearted smile. Simultaneously connecting his fingers together to symbolize the oneness we share. I laughed and joined my index fingers in agreement. I gazed upon his lady and a language was recognized. We briefly spoke at podlasie pertaining to the deep connections between Chicago and Detroit. Relaxed into the sofa from a night of moving our bodies to the sounds of acid. This moment touched the soul. You’ve most likely heard the echos of these words being spoken in raves to express the gyrating of our bodies collectively moving skin to skin to the frequencies which resonate with us. More than a feeling, an expanding wholeness that reaches into the subconscious of us all. A spiritual thing. What truly is that spiritual thing within each of these walls of tribal movement?
The sanskrit word is brahman. Brahman means the vast or that which carries everything and is the basis of all dharmic principles. The infinite brahman knows itself as “I-am-that-I-am”. We can know brahman or absolute truth only by becoming one with it, which means becoming one with the sacred ground of being beyond the variations of name and form in the external world. The real self is not personal or mental formation, not a creature or entity of any type. It is the being of consciousness that transcends time, place and individual. According to the sages and yogis from the east who have realized this and become immortal. Initially the sages practiced yoga ( which encompasses meditation, breathework & movement ) and this is how the wisdom was revealed then was passed down to their students. Word of Mouth. The sages learned how to create these poses by observing animals as well. Then was later written on leaves to keep this ancient wisdom alive, and eventually shared with the world. So what do the sages and yogis have to do with this word and how does it connect to ravers in the midwest and beyond? Ravers feel it when they look into a strangers eyes and dance together into the night somehow they feel connected to the person they just met. It’s the feeling when that kick hits your chest and you can’t stop your feet from moving, suddenly the frequencies are you and you are it. There is no seperation. What if I told you the sages and yogis have been meditating on an object to become one with it. Again no separation continues to flow in the cells of every human being. What if we collectively moved our bodies within the rave and balanced it with the transcendence of meditation outside of music? Dedicating time to the listen to the rhythm of the soul. What would then occur in the heart of every living being if they integrated the I AM in each being? A kingdom of Gods would flourish. Safe spaces would become sacred. Now when people say we are one after they share this article between their subcultures and communities then they wouldn’t just think it’s an idea in their head but truly a knowing beyond words. This concept that we are one isn’t just an idea or a figment of our imagination, it is embedded in our DNA helix to be that I am. The vedas which means knowledge is a collection of ancient Sanskrit texts coming from India, this is where brahman was birthed. This ancient wisdom gave people the language to share so we can comprehend it at a human level but the knowing…has always been evidently present in each one of us. This language from the east is essential to share because we must not forget its vedic roots nor the sages that transcended to receive this sacred knowledge.
The Vedas is not the only place where this knowing can be found many cultures across the world share this sentiment in various forms and different words. For example In ancient Kemet the word ba signifies our eternal essence that does not die. Providing evidence that collective consciousness is real. The secondary source for this article is the book titled “Yoga and Ayurveda Self-Healing and Self-Realization” by David Frawley which my yoga teacher & ayurvedic practitioner Poonam shared with me as apart of my curriculum. It was an instant connection to the way other civilizations related to one another. Who wouldn’t feel compelled to share this with the world after they are finally given the language to express it. So you may be thinking, if this wisdom has already been shared with the world in various forms why are people still operating in their ego? Ahamkara means litterly the “I-fabrication”, as the ego is a process, not an intrinsic reality. It is a series of divisive thoughts but not a real entity in itself. It is a necessary power of division inherent in nature, a stage of evolution, but does not represent the underlying truth or nature of creatures. It allows the soul to identify with different bodies, but does not reveal our true self, which is awareness beyond all embodiment. The ego never dies, as long as you live in a human body you will have an ego, a bias to your human experience. The tricky part is understanding those subconscious impulses towards your ego and pride, and allowing them to relax into the brahman. This is the process so you can have a blueprint on how to catch it. First comes an impulse which leads to a thought, then manifests into a decision based on the “I-fabrication”. This very thought pattern whatever your negative impulses may be, creates a fabrication of separation. An illusion that holds no truth, which was never yours to entertain. The second you stop entertaining your ego, it will relax immediately. The ego is their to teach you on what you need to work on not a negative part of you, unless you choose impulses that does not serve your highest greatest good— then you are simply giving into your egoic impulses. There is an illusion that is created when we do not devote energy to master our ego. Once you apply this blueprint when it manifests you will know how to dissolve it completely.
You’ve heard it before leave your ego at the door before you go into a rave, but how do people do that beyond the rave? Who is taking the time to educate people on how to enact this in their everyday lives so when we all do come together to party their is no sense of the “I-fabrication” . See it takes real dedication to create sacred spaces. Where egos can completely dissolve into wisps of smoke. It takes dedication to go beyond the self and into the vast. As a collective if their is no self-accountability or reverent integrity to how we operate outside of the scene then their will be no evolution. The integrity must seep into the shadows of our lives. If we continue to focus on our identities and political correctness, we will not expand. Expansion occurs when we open up ourselves to something we haven’t experienced before. The frequency of music is beyond you. You do not have ownership over it. We are channels for universal intelligence and that must be acknowledged. The vast has been sharing through the elders of communal cultures how to become one for centuries. Are you listening? Do you truly care enough about the spaces you’re creating or is it a way to satisfy and leverage your ego? People say leave your ego at the door but did you happen to check yours. I think not. Entertaining the idea of sacred spaces in the scene and living it in the intimacy of our everyday lives are unalike. The ceremony does not stop on the dance floor, it continues to move—how are you creating it? I hope this short article finds you well and I urge you to do your own research to learn more about this topic, this is just a taste of the ancient wisdom various cultures have been sharing for generations. If we collectively integrated the I AM, we would host a reverence that reverberates in every room we step in. The idea of scarcity within the city would completely dissolve.
Our collective perfume would be that I AM.
